parisattack: <perfidious> The bond market was close to imploding. I just wonder which billionaire convinced him to make the move? If you look at the long term 10-year chart you can see it would not take much for yields to breakout over 5 percent with almost certain cataclysmic ...

   Apr-04-25 Keres vs A Tarnowski, 1952

parisattack: It is now well over five decades since I first saw this game in Chernev's book. It is STILL one of my favorite games.

   Mar-05-25 I Zemlyanskii vs A Hakobyan, 2025

parisattack: A very well played French by Hakobyan. Textbook example. IMHO.

   Feb-23-25 M A Maurizzi vs Bacrot, 2025 (replies)

parisattack: <Quite frankly, their chess books section was inferior. That's probably because there's no money in buying and selling chess books.> I traded with Al Buschke early on... He had a store in the Village, an incredible stock of chess books crowded into three rooms. I kept a ...

   Feb-22-25 F Oro vs Bacrot, 2025

parisattack: Textbook example of the French hanging pawns center. Right out of the excellent book 'Mastering the French' by McDonald.

   Jan-20-25 F Oro vs R Vaishali, 2025 (replies)

parisattack: I don't know how sound all of it is - but an interesting and impressive game. Very typical Grunfeld.

   Jan-13-25 P Nurmi vs Suttles, 1973

parisattack: Indeed! Duncan one of those players who seems to have a little different view of the game. There are many like this one in the trilogy Chess On the Edge. IM Day has made comments about Suttles' chess that helped me understand it...a little, at least.

   Jan-06-25 Robert Huebner (replies)

parisattack: Another chess Boomer down! RIP, GM Huebner. His '25 Games' book is a mega-classic!

   Sep-09-24 Nikolai Brunni (replies)

parisattack: Thanks much for those <Hemy>. Perhaps one of those photos could replace the current one here on his profile?

   Apr-28-24 Ding Liren (replies)

parisattack: Back in CG.com's Golden Age (August 2009) <This kid has a little different angle on the game, IMHO...worth watching his development.>
