Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-29-04  ThePurplePimpernel: Any relation to the From of From's Gambit?
Apr-29-04  AgentRgent: I don't know if he's related to Martin From (1828-95) the Danish player from which From's Gambit derived it's name.
May-19-10  Poulsen: Actually I think, that they may be related - they should be according to Larsen, but I have not found a source confirming that.

  moronovich: Yes,he is related.
Nov-13-10  Dredge Rivers: Where is Sigfred From?
Nov-13-10  whiteshark: Free Sigfred From taxes!
Nov-16-10  whiteshark: ... or was it <Texas>?
Nov-16-10  rapidcitychess: Free Sigfred From his chains that he bears due to him thought of having rabies!

Why did they think that? Because Sigfred From ed at the mouth.

Nov-20-10  Dredge Rivers: So, where is Roy's page? Eaten by a tiger, perhaps? :)
Dec-04-11  waustad: He was born in December 1925, so he wasn't Martin's son. Considering how many of the games using the Gedult attack were played by him, they could be considered kindred spirits if nothing else.
Aug-19-21  Nosnibor: Met Sigfred at the Karlstad Open,1989/90, Sweden and watched his first round game, win against Olle Eriksson a local player from Karlstad. I managed to finish half a point above him in the actual event.
