James Demery: Is this the Randy Bauer of the USCF? Whats the deal with him and Polgar/Truong? When do these people find the time to do any work? Is it any wonder that chess is in the shape its in in the U.S.? I`m almost ready to demand a recall !!
Feb-14-09  Jack Bauer: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, whoever your mother may be.
Feb-14-09  Mr. President: Me neither!
Feb-15-09  drkodos: I did and I loved it.

James Demery: Jack, will you please use your influence with your brother Randy to patch up this situation with Polgar?
Feb-19-09  Jack Bauer: <James Demery> There are things in this world which are out of our control. Sometimes we like to blame ourselves for them so we can try to make sense out of them.
Mar-30-09  Randy Bauer: The player in this game is Richard Bauer, not Randy Bauer.
Sep-20-23  Caissanist: Wow, either this guy's tenure as USCF president, or the USCF itself, is over. Amazingly tone deaf response to the Ramirez/Shahade sexual harassment scandal: https://www.chess.com/news/view/us-... .

perfidious: Jen Shahade did everything but beat Bauer about the head with her warnings of sexual assault and misconduct and got, as we say in poker, softplayed.

Different story with Sean Finn, who is obviously but a cypher to Bauer.

As the saying is regarding how one can learn much about a person in observing how they treat those who can do nothing for them....

Check It Out: Thats what I like about this site: stuff's a bit more permanent than a news story/chat thread.

Though the internet could crash at any moment 😬
