Honza Cervenka: <Do you have any information about this player?> I have a few. Jiri Lechtynsky plays now for chess club Slavie Turnov in Czech Extraleague. He is still one of 10 or 15 best Czech players altough his best period was late 1970s and early 1980s when he achieved his GM title. By the way, he is one of very few foreigners who fulfilled then one of his GM norms in a tournament played in Soviet Union. Tony Miles is the only other one I know. Lechtynsky also beat Tal once but that game is in no database which I know. I am preparing file of his missing games now but this game I cannot find.

Penguincw: Happy 66th birthday to <POTD>: GM Jiri Lechtynsky.
Nov-25-19  Swedish Logician: His NOTABLE GAMES contain remarkably many miniature games against strong opponents; very impressive. Of the wins only the game against Radev is longer than ± 20 moves.
