Nov-25-10 Anand vs Van Wely, 2008

mobiegobie: suprised that Van Wely didnt play 14...Rac8. And that Dennis Breder also gives black a slight advantage after move 20.

Sep-03-10 Timman vs Dzindzichashvili, 1977 (replies)

mobiegobie: Wow! I did not realize how bad the score is for white after 4.Bg5 24%!! Blacks dark square strategy, closed(restrictive for white)center and knights against(bad)bishops! Nice game.

   Sep-03-10 Robert James Fischer (replies)

mobiegobie: check it out...The active volcano in Iceland is pronounced: Aya-flat-ka-yerticle. How seldom i get to use that worthless bit of info...but i do when i can!

   Jun-01-10 Y Wang vs Topalov, 2009

mobiegobie: My fav here 13...e5! pawn sac. then wang yue tries to hold on to the rook and start trading off pieces. then 19 Nb4 could have turned to a wicked fork.

Jun-01-10 Saemisch vs Alekhine, 1926 (replies)

mobiegobie: Fritz expected or wished for dxc which opens the door for white tactics. Fritz seems to exchange or simplify even when it isnt better for him. 20 Qb2..white exchanges his onlt active piece. But if I was playing AA I guess the plan is trade and hope not to get mated! This is a ...

   Apr-15-10 Garry Kasparov (replies)

mobiegobie: Riverbeast I detected no smuggness, though my detector was not on "sphincter". I wonder if the smuggness you saw was K having difficulity in selecting English words, or presenting the words in a sentense. [This is not a back handed swipe at K.] How you say it it Russian or ...

   Apr-15-10 Nunn vs A Sokolov, 1986 (replies)

mobiegobie: I think that the problem for black in both games[Lasker-Pirc Moscow 1935 and the above game] is one of moves order[maybe more so in the above game] . Blacks problems start on move two with the quick 2...e6 rather than the more correct(I think) 2..d6 which protects the e5 square ...

   Oct-18-09 Z Jovanovic vs O Cvitan, 2001

mobiegobie: Another good game for black M Brooks vs Browne, 1982 Brooks-Browne, USA 1982 11..Nbd7!? rules out some of white's options...

Oct-18-09 Naiditsch vs Anand, 2003 (replies)

mobiegobie: The a3 move for white usually comes earlier in the game(like move 7 and before b5....) then white castles short [0-0] not long[0-0-0] and right into black counterplay queenside! a3 is played to save the Sozin bishop from the black "a" rook not to stop b4 which it does not as seen

Apr-29-09 Shirov vs Vyzmanavin, 1994 (replies)

mobiegobie: Grandmaster DvD magazine:issue 10 has the rook by move 25 already on d8. which makes whites Bishop to b7 move have more purpose....is thia an error?
