Apr-22-18 | | WorstPlayerEver: RIP chess lady, but death is just the beginning. My mother died of cancer after ten years of struggle. It kept coming back. She ended up in a hospital and after 3 weeks of no food or drinks she still was alive! Hard to imagine. It was a horrible scene, kind of unbearable; only one nurse dared to enter her room to put some water on her lips so once in a while. The day before she died I went to the hospital. Next morning I stayed with her. At one moment she stopped breathing. But after a minute she started breathing again! Real spooky. At some point I really was close to freaking out and considered to smother her with a pillow. So I begged her to die. Soon she opened her eyes, which she had not done in weeks, looked at me and then, with a last gentle sigh, she died. |

 | | offramp: It is very sad that Khurtsidze has died so young. <WorstPlayerEver> that sounds like a terrible ordeal. Sometimes death is a great release. |
|
Apr-22-18 | | WorstPlayerEver: PS I forgot to add she was breathing like a vacuum cleaner since she did not eat or drink. If that's a good comparison.. It was like an Edgar Allan Poe story. But then for real. My mother had a weird sense of humor ;) |

 | | Richard Taylor: Yes it is very sad. Death is terrible how ever it comes. Regardless or one's age. No one wants to die. She was a friend of Sopiko. |

Apr-24-18
 | | Richard Taylor: <WorstPlayerEver> Yes death is or can be quite a terrible ordeal for the person concerned and the children and others. My own mother's death was something always on my mind and also that of my father. It seems worse when the person is young.
But it is always a sad thing. |

Apr-24-18 | | john barleycorn: <Richard Taylor: <WorstPlayerEver> Yes death is or can be quite a terrible ordeal for the person concerned ...> For the person concerned it isn't since the person is dead. |
|
Apr-25-18
 | | Richard Taylor: I see Barleycorn has appended a stupid and heartless comment but we will ignore such ordure. |
|
Apr-26-18 | | WorstPlayerEver: <ketchuplover> Thank you. A nice suggestion. I learnt chess from my mother when I was 8 or 9. |
|
Apr-26-18 | | john barleycorn: <Richard Taylor: I see Barleycorn has appended a stupid and heartless comment but we will ignore such ordure.> Well, well <Richard Taylor>, the world greatest unknown idiot. |
|
Apr-27-18
 | | Richard Taylor: <john barleycorn> I apologise. I overstated that. You were initially being facetious I suppose. Indeed I am an idiot in many ways. I take the criticism. |
