  kutztown46: About the dogs:

Both dogs are shetland sheepdogs (shelties). There are three types of shelties - sable, tri-color, and blue merle. My girls are both blue merles. Shelties and collies are sometimes confused. Shelties are smaller than collies. Both dogs are also registered therapy dogs. Here is a link to the web site for the therapy dog group we belong to. The web site explains a little bit about what therapy dogs do.

http://poycdogs.org/

The dog on the right in the picture is Cleo. She is 9 years old and we have had her since she was 2. She passed her therapy dog test in 2005. Since then, we have taken her therapy dog visiting nearly 200 times - to hospitals, nursing homes, and adult day care centers. She has an ideal personality for a therapy dog. She is very calm. In a veterinarian waiting room full of dogs going nuts, Cleo just lays down and takes a nap. The senior citizens just love her.

The dog on the left is Libby (named after the Liberty Bell). She is 8 years old and we have had her for only seven months. She is a retired show dog. Her registered name is "Triumph Philadelphia Freedom". When she was retired from dog shows, she was one win shy of being a champion. The attached web page shows additional pictures of Libby along with her dog show record.

Libby also has a wonderful temperament and she passed her therapy dog test two months ago. So now we can take them both on therapy dog outings!

Aug-01-11  Golden Executive: Very nice picture,

.......I knew you had a secret weapon.....

......the doggies pair !

Aug-05-11  crawfb5: Love the dogs. We have two sisters that are terrier/sheltie mixes. My avatar is the one with the terrier-style coat. Her sister looks more like a sheltie (http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/...)

Of course both of them could <use> some therapy, instead of helping with it...

Aug-05-11  SamAtoms1980: Well, when you say you'll "unleash the dogs of war" people better know you're not speaking figuratively.... :-P

tpstar: <kutztown46> Your dogs are adorable. That's great how they help people on therapy dog outings.

Your computer is quite a looker too. ;>D
