Sally Simpson: A vid of the game and scroll forward to 2:12 for French commentators reaction.

Also Wes has been 'apparently' pretty scathing about what is happening and has twittered 'Alireza is dirty and immoral”

"Wesley So's Recent Tweets About Firouzja Situation Are Pure Entertainment" https://www.reddit.com/r/chess/comm...

I am not on Twitter so it's possibly or probably nonsense.

Dec-20-23  stone free or die: I believe this is the closest translation of it into English:

Sally Simpson: The difficulty I have with it is that we have all seen and played worse blunders, much worse. If the match was not so contentious it would have been ignored.

If a G.M. wanted the throw a game then we would not even suspect it and it would not be as obvious as this.

Possibly a case of over analysing and not liking what he was seeing so decided to bring the Knight in from the cold, hold the e-pawn and try to hang on.
