Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-09-19  MelvinDoucet: Not sure what makes this GOTD material, honestly. There's nothing special about a GM crushing the living daylight out of an amateur by sheer technique.
Apr-09-19  sfm: I like the inspired fighting spirit by shown by White. Bravo! Being the underdog and in a hopeless position will have many resigning.

The problem is that by doing that you will get no balancing towards the games where you were the overdog, had a totally won position, the opponent didn't resign and you didn't win.

Apr-09-19  Honey Blend: <Not sure what makes this GOTD material>

Just guessing - White (almost) falls prey to two instances of Knight fork tactics on the same game. If you see this too often then maybe you're right to say this isn't too GOTD-worthy.

Apr-09-19  Ironmanth: A GREAT game, especially for Caro Kann enthusiasts! Thanks, chessgames.
Apr-09-19  morfishine: <Ironmanth> I admire your positive posts
Apr-09-19  dumbgai: White defended the best that she could but her position just got progressively worse. The rooks and bishop were reduced to defending the pawns (and one another) whereas black could always create new threats. Instructive game, even if it was a mismatch.
