  FSR: Current theory advocates 11.Kf1 with the idea of 11...Qxc4+ 12.Kg1 gxf6? 13.Rc1 . After Mueller's 11.Qd2, Black should have simplified with 11....Qxd2+! 12.Kxd2 gxf6 (Black is up a pawn) 13.Nb5 Na6 14.Nd6+ Ke7 15.Nxc8+ Rhxc8 16.Bxa6 bxa6 17.Rhc1= Simagin (as given in Seirawan and Minev, Take My Rooks, p. 84).

In the game continuation, I think that 13...Nc6!, as someone just played against me in an Internet blitz game, is better than 13...Nd7. I proceeded to get a dead-lost game with 14.Nxg7+ Kf8 15.Qd6+ Kg8 16.Qc7?? Bg4+!, but managed to swindle a win anyway. I think that the correct line was 16.Qg3 (threatening Ne6#) Kf8 (what else?) 17.Nf5 Rg8 18.Qd6+ Ke8 19.Qc7

Look familiar? The big difference is the ♗e4 instead of being on c4, which eliminates the ...Nc6 defense. White announced mate in 10 beginning <13.Nc6>, but Bozo 0.5 says it's 8 moves and that 13.Nxe6 also works.
