Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-02-06  lopium: I think 9...b5 was a blunder because 10.e5 really made damages.
Nov-02-06  Petrocephalon: That's a reasonable guess, but if you check the 'find similar games' link you'll see that dozens of games with 9..b5, with wins and losses for both sides. In fact up to 15.Bxb5 has been played many times. It looks like 15..Bd5 is the blunder. Black should either play 15..Be4, or place a rook on d8 before ..Bd5. Or so I surmise from looking at the similar games. Fascinating variation! Thanks for drawing it to my attention.
Apr-23-14  sydbarrett: This the kind of wild combination game that the romantic-at-heart in me loves. Oll was that type of player, and right off the bat, he plays in that style, in this, the first game of career. ;-)
