Nov-22-10  jerseybob: What a great performance by Lombardy, with a smashing final move. This is Lombardy at his finest, around the time when he was set to attend the 1961 Interzonal. Of course the I.Z. wasn't held in '61 due to world tensions, and soon thereafter Lombbardy started devoting less time to chess.
Sep-05-19  sfm: <What a great performance by Lombardy, with a smashing final move.> Right. I like 29.-,h5(!), the just-in-time counter-attack, with e5 being a serious threat. According to Stockfish, White fails a move later, he should have answered 30.e5,h4 31.Nf1 with an equal game.

As for the pretty final move it could have been played earlier, like 91.-,Qb5+! I bet Larsen saw it, but kept up his poker-face and hopes. Then suddenly - Qb5+!

Sep-05-19  Atking: A great performance no doubt; yet the ending is winning even without pawn f7 at move 70. Quite technical "c" and "f" pawns are the strongest in such Queens ending. With 2 pawns both GMs should know that Black will win it.
