Jul-06-04  rochade18: I'd also lose with a "plus-" knight against Morphy if opened like that.
Jul-10-07  leonorasmith: It seems to me that it might be an error in this game. Instead of "19.Bc3", i think it should be: 19. Nc3. Thanks for looking.
Aug-20-07  Crowaholic: <leonorasmith: It seems to me that it might be an error in this game. Instead of "19.Bc3", i think it should be: 19. Nc3.>

White has no kNight to put on c3 by move 19. Morphy gave knight odds, i.e. he never had a b1 knight in this game, and the other was captured on move 6.

Aug-20-07  syracrophy: I think that 9.♕xf3 was much better. 9.gxf3 was not necessary
Dec-22-08  WhiteRook48: NN: ARGH another loss and with Knight Odds to boot.
Jan-01-09  WhiteRook48: NN also lost with Rook Odds.
Jan-02-09  WhiteRook48: Should go into "King Hunts" Collection.
Jan-02-09  WhiteRook48: and a fork on king and knight to boot!
Dec-01-09  kooley782: When Morphy has your king on the run, you don't play on. You resign.

Wait...don't you decline his offer of play in the first place? :)

Mar-10-15  iamdeafzed: Unless I'm missing something, 24.Bd3+,Kh8 (or 24...Qxd3 25.cxd3, which should be an obvious win for white) 25.Qf8# was a quicker checkmate.

Still a nice game to go through in any case.

Mar-10-15  morfishine: All things considered <NN> defended himself to the best of his not so great ability; My only suggestion would be 12...Nxc6 instead of 12...bxc6 developing a piece:
