Nov-04-13  King Sacrificer: Scarborough Fair.
Nov-04-13  TheTamale: <morphshine: Summery: Winter Springs 19.Bg2 which black Falls for> It's an interesting proposition, because at first blush it doesn't look as if White will get adequate material compensation, but really, if my amateurish assessment is correct, the move is geared more toward allowing White to get his face all in Black's business more than to win material.

Nice ending, too!

"Pray for Spring, but face the Winter..."

"If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?" vs "If Winter comes can the following one be more than a year away?"

Nov-04-13  mbvklc: Did you just find player named Winter only to make that pun ?

Well, certainly not only that. What else is it a game of chess than a game of thrones and a song of ice and fire? And the end of Sultan Khan's black King in the centre of the board can remind us the sad fate of Ned Stark in the King's Landing.:-)
