your brilliance
Member since Jan-01-05 · Last seen Nov-05-09
Well, I haven't made it to GM, but you will nevertheless address me as "your brilliance", or preferably, "your dazzling brilliance." If, for variety, you should want to use "your genius," or "your steel trap mind," I shall not object. I am a tolerant fellow.

your brilliance has kibitzed 130 times to chessgames   [less...]

your brilliance: <2ndNature: Come'n Gentleman,> Now,m now, especially given that both the players are of the female persuasion, you'd have to assume that some of the kibitzers are too. Of course, I fell into the same trap. An earlier post that I did not send had things like "...Black ...

your brilliance: Yeeha! I got it. No way to stop the c pawn without taking it.

your brilliance: <Catfriend: <your brilliance> Good point. But as somebody (I think it was <acirce>) wisely pointed out, many such proofs shouldn't be done by a headlong approach, if there is a theorem already, helping with the job!> Sorry for such a late response to your ...

your brilliance: Perhaps kasparov lost on time. I don't see a clear win for white.

   Jun-01-05 C Lakdawala vs V Akobian, 2004

your brilliance: <deschner> I agree totally. Black threatens Rh2, Ng5, with all kinds of nasty attacks, and the position just "feels" better on general grounds.

your brilliance: <watchchess79> By forcing the Q exchange on e1, black gains a tempo.

your brilliance: <Eatman> I have the same comment as you. I didn't see ..d4. But, I still saw the general idea, which is good enough for me.

your brilliance: <Granite><moreso math is a harder subject> If you can prove that, I am sure you will win a Fields medal.

   May-26-05 R Antonio vs A Maltese, 2005 (replies)

your brilliance: Great game. White is in the driver's seat from move 12 or so. Still, would black have done better with 14..Be6. It is still bad, as it loses a pawn at once with more pain ahead, but perhaps there is some counterplay on the long black diagonal. Further down, why not 24..Rad8.

your brilliance: <wannabe> If white plays 45. f5, then g7 is not open -- it is already taken by a black rook.
