My name is Luke and I am the President and Founder of the Ivy Tech Chess Club. I am currently trying to get this Club on its feet through the rigors of formalization. I competed in a few state tournaments in Illinois, one National, and one or two local.

My opening preferences as white are the Piano, The Franky-Dracky variation of the Vienna game, and the Queen's Gambit.

My opening preferences as Black are the Nimzo-Indian, the Schevengen Sicilian, and the Petroff(at times).

My favorite players are Alehkine for his insight, Tal for his awesome attacks, Petrosian for his impregnable fortresses, Blackburne for just his awesome playing style, and Morphy for his practical approach.

Once the ITCC has become formalized, I will post info from the site.

   Dec-09-08 A Foldeak vs F Nagy, 1942 (replies)

t3hPolak: Game ending with both White Knights on Black's back rank leading to mate? Epic in my book.

   Dec-03-08 E Najer vs Mamedyarov, 2005 (replies)

t3hPolak: Wow. This was wild.

   Nov-15-08 W Addison vs D Byrne, 1963 (replies)

t3hPolak: I'm a little shocked at Byrne's choice of move for 35. Taking the free rook seems to have no repercussion whatsoever. Unless I'm missing something, but I see no problem with it. Time trouble, maybe??

t3hPolak: I wonder who this individual was that Greco smashed, lol?

Jun-10-08 Carlsen vs Van Wely, 2008 (replies)

t3hPolak: Good game, fun to watch

t3hPolak: My regards to GM Karen Asrian. May you rest in peace.

May-28-08 Morozevich vs Bologan, 2004 (replies)

t3hPolak: Another awesome game to add to the collection.

   May-23-08 D Valerga vs E Real de Azua, 2008

t3hPolak: I wonder why not 29. Rxd6 immediately?

   May-22-08 US Championship (2008) (replies)

t3hPolak: Congratulations, Yury!

May-15-08 Battle of the Brains II, 2008 (replies)

t3hPolak: team white I like our position here. Both bishops are fully active, aiming pretty much undeterred at the Kingside. Queen is on an active square, playing man-on-man with the King, and we have a nice pawn move to rustle ...
