Apr-21-10 M Ujtelky vs Parma, 1966
|
orior: When I saw the solution I thought it was one of the cases where the player misses "the solution", but there was no "Here white missed the winning Qxd1" annotation :) Only then, after checking again and trying to find out what's the problem with that move, I saw that hanging C4 ... |

Aug-12-09 Ivanchuk vs E Alekseev, 2009

orior: This is a great game. You don't see games like that everyday in the 2700+ caliber. reminds me of Tal's games.
Great job by Ivanchuk! |

Jul-24-09 Bogoljubov vs Alekhine, 1929
|
orior: It really is easy, I'm drunk and I found the solution within half a minute and couldn't believe this is really the solution, unlike some medium puzzles which take me longer when I'm sober. |

Jul-21-09 Morozevich vs E Alekseev, 2009
|
orior: Anatoly21, what are you talking about?
Rh7 is better than going for the d8 rook with Bxg6 - it aims for a mate after Rg7+, taking the knight and mate with Rh8.
You can rest assured morozevich didn't "overlook" that obvious Bxg6 :) |

Jan-25-08 Corus Group A (2008)
|
orior: what are you all getting so enthusiastic about?
A bishop for 3 pawns is not a sac, it's an exchange, and most of the times 3 pawns are better. |

Nov-17-07 E Alekseev vs Shirov, 2007

orior: 30. Ne2 is my kind of blunder - forgetting that I block the deffence of a pawn :) |

Nov-10-07 Geller vs H Ree, 1969
|
orior: I think Bh8 saves the smothered mate, but anyway black is pretty much lost.. |

Aug-15-07 Turov vs E Postny, 2003
|
orior: <MostlyAverageJoe> in the position you've shown Qxe1 doesn't work cause after Ne2 white has Nd3 and he stops the pawn. |
