I started playing chess a few months ago and completely fell in love with the game. My favorite openings are obviously king and queen pawn openings... and the Reti occasionally. Some of my favorite players are Alhekine, Ivanchuk, Petrosian and Botvinik.

Jan-12-10 Aronian vs Nakamura, 2010 (replies)

noiselesion: Aronian takes his revenge after Nakamura's wins in their chess 960 encounters. I didn't have time to do much analysis, what happens after 42 ...RxQ ?

Jan-10-10 Botvinnik vs Tal, 1961 (replies)

noiselesion: Yeah, after playing through more of Tal's games, I retract my comment. They were pretty close. Obviously their styles were miles apart.

   Jan-10-10 W Allen vs R Marting, 1972

noiselesion: yes, of course. white is in check. should have paid more attention before saying something like that.

Jan-10-10 Gelfand vs Nakamura, 2010 (replies)

noiselesion: I think that pretty much everybody here will agree that most kibitzers on this site post idiotic kibitzes. Present kibitzer excluded.

   Mar-17-09 Teimour Radjabov (replies)

noiselesion: Is it just me or is Radjabov making only draws lately?

Dec-02-07 Ivanchuk vs Yusupov, 1991 (replies)

noiselesion: ...for those who dont see it and do not want to browse through tons of kibitzing.

Dec-02-07 Reti vs Tartakower, 1910 (replies)

noiselesion: There is no doubt that this, along with the game where Legal administers his brand of mate, are among the top best games ever played.

Dec-01-07 Captain Evans vs McDonnell, 1829 (replies)

noiselesion: McDonnell gets punished for his lack of development.

Sep-16-07 Aronian vs Leko, 2007 (replies)

noiselesion: I agree, the games so far have been way below par for the top-seed elite.
