Aug-13-20 Dzindzichashvili vs Tal, 1991 (replies)

nhnsn: But was it perpetual check? The engine says White's King can escape through h3

   Mar-28-15 A Haida vs Nimzowitsch, 1925 (replies)

nhnsn: I was thinking in 58...a2 59.h8=Q a1=Q+ 60.K moves Qxh8.

   Dec-13-14 Wegemund / Brennert / Friedrich / vs Alekhine, 1921 (replies)

nhnsn: Alekhine says in his "Best Games..." after 15.Bd2:" The text-move conceals a trap. If, for example, 15...f4 16.Ng3 e4 17.Nxe4! fxe4 18.Qxe4 and wins." Notwithstanding, after 18..Rf3, I see no win, e.g.:19.Qh7+ Kf7 20.c4 Nf4 21.Bc3 Nxd3 22.Bxf6 Bxf6 23.Rxd3 Bxb2 24.Rb1 Nxc4, and Black ...

   Dec-11-14 P Potemkin vs Alekhine, 1912 (replies)

nhnsn: What does Black do after 16.Ke3 ? Because I think White wins the Knight...

Jan-17-14 Nimzowitsch vs Kashdan, 1931 (replies)

nhnsn: I do not think Nimzowitsch blundered in his last move, but he tried to see if Kashdan didn't realize that he could capture with his queen, and thus Nimzowitsch would capture Kashdan's queen. After 53.♕e3+ ♔b7, there isn't other check that 55.♕a7+.....

   Jan-15-14 Nimzowitsch vs O Zimmermann, 1931

nhnsn: I don't understand why both players sacrifice one of their rooks.

   Jan-15-14 Nimzowitsch vs H Johner, 1931 (replies)

nhnsn: What was white threatening whit 21.♘e5? I thing 21...♖f8 was unnecesary.

Jan-14-14 Nimzowitsch vs Rubinstein, 1926 (replies)

nhnsn: I rectify myself, after 35.♗b4 follows the simple 35...♕g7 36.♘f7+ ♔g8 and the Bishop doesn`t arrive on time. Anyway,Kenne's variant does not win either.

Jan-13-14 Nimzowitsch vs Alekhine, 1914 (replies)

nhnsn: Why instead of 26-♗b2, Nimzowitsch doesn`t play 26.♗a3?

   Jan-09-14 B Blumenfeld vs Nimzowitsch, 1903 (replies)

nhnsn: <calli> Thanks for the analysis, but instead of 17.f3 is better 17.♘d1!
