   Dec-26-22 D Rensch vs Shabalov, 2007

naisortep: I witnessed the post-mortem of this game. Danny was blown away by Shabalov's level of preparation and deep understanding of the position.

Dec-16-22 de Firmian vs Kamsky, 1990

naisortep: Defirmian resigned in a drawn position. He was completely lost until Kamsky played 61 Re2. Instead of capitalize he resigned. Gm Rogers in his excellent book says DeFirmian fell apart the rest of the tournament after he realized what he had done. Poor Nick.

naisortep: Looks composed.

   Mar-31-18 Caruana vs B Karen, 2002

naisortep: Yes, the computer will show white ahead a pawn here of course. Maybe it is even correct but it would be some long computer variation that neither of us were capable of finding at the time. Draw certainly reasonable result although if I played Fabiano today he would play on and ...

   Jan-25-17 Jay Bonin (replies)

naisortep: Disclaimer I purchased this book first and foremost because IM Jay Bonin - the most active chess player in history - is a friend. But I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I am learning from the book about positional chess. Jay does an excellent job of concisely explaning ...

   Aug-02-16 Bobby Fischer (replies)

naisortep: Fischer faced the greatest obstacle of anyone to obtain the World Championship. The Soviet Chess Machine. They worked as a team to defeat him. Whereas Fischer had to do all his research on his own they had teams of people collecting games and analysis for their top players. There ...

   Jun-13-16 Danny Kopec (replies)

naisortep: RIP IM Danny Kopec, a great player, lecturer, author, teacher and expert on artificial intelligence. Inventor of the Kopec System and the Bratko-Kopec Test.
