I live in Bangalore, India. I play on playchess.com with a rating of around 1960. My favourite players are Anand and Kasparov.

I like to play openings which promise complicated positions (which give me a 50-50 chance of winning), rather than playing positional lines.

Nov-28-18 Carlsen - Caruana World Championship Match (2018) (replies)

mkrk17: Magnus has been just hardly holding on to his world title last 2 times (Fabiano and Sergei). Its about time someone younger and with a different playing style knocks him out. Its getting boring to see 12 games draw everytime.

mkrk17: <Imran Iskandar: It seems that only one more goal eludes them: attaining the World Championship.> I too think that in the next 10 yrs we will see a Men's World Champion from China.

mkrk17: All are tired at the end of the year and looking forward to the year end holidays. So all we're getting is draws.

Nov-27-16 Carlsen - Karjakin World Championship Match (2016) (replies)

mkrk17: I do hope chess world championship gets better in the sense that we have 24 games World championship match. Not only that, the candidates cycle needs to be longer. I guess the last of those days was in 1995 and 1998 when Anand qualified to play against Kasparov and Karpov. Maybe the ...

Nov-21-16 Carlsen vs Karjakin, 2016 (replies)

mkrk17: I think Karjakin managed to get into carlsen's nerves in the last 7 games. He found a way to draw his games thanks to his resilient defending talents. Now its upto Carlsen to relax his mind and play each game as though its a new and fresh game. He shd not get irritated that Karjakin ...

   Sep-11-16 Baku Olympiad (2016) (replies)

mkrk17: Any idea why Anand is not playing for India. The Indian team is so far doing very well and could definitely do much better with Anand. In yester years, Anand used to decline playing olympiad because the team was so weak something like the Norway team today. But of late the Indian ...

Apr-28-16 Carlsen vs Kramnik, 2016 (replies)

mkrk17: Nce play by carlsen, dominating the position just by using the f5 square. Awesome positional play !!

Apr-10-16 World Championship Candidates (2016) (replies)

mkrk17: Why does the media keep saying that Anand was scared of Kasparov and scared of Magnus. Ridiculous media. If they were better players than him, then they won, as simple as that. Kasparov had access to many more resources than Anand in 1995 and add that with all the door banging which ...
