   Jul-13-11 Fischer vs J Terrone, 1964 (replies)
jumperino: What?? You mean the queen can move diagonally!? Thanks Sastre - knew there was something I just wasn't seeing.
   Sep-03-10 Morphy vs A Morphy, 1849 (replies)
jumperino: <I don't know of any scientific evidence which suggests that the current generation are brighter than, say, our ancestors of one or two hundred years ago. Better educated, better fed, healtheir, sure, but significantly brighter? I don't think so.> Interesting "scientific" ...
   Aug-18-09 M Sergeyeva vs A Gokhale, 2001
jumperino: The thing that gets me about these types of games is the quiet move leading up to getting the pawns going. In this case, Rg1 - setting up the rook support just right before making the rook sac and freeing up the pawns. It's these types of moves that I typically don't see...

   Jun-02-08 A E Moussa vs A J Fulton, 2004 (replies)
jumperino: I don't know...with Qh6 White keeps the pressure on, but I still think black has some defenses left. Maybe something along the lines of 25. Qh6, Kf7 (odd to step into the pin, but the knight has to move or it's lost), 26. Nc7, Qg7 (hopes to trade queens to ease the pressure now). ...

jumperino: What about 26 ...Qf6 instead of Qxc5?
   May-12-08 K Agapov vs M I Nepomnishay, 1983
jumperino: 26 Qg6 Pxg6 27 Rdxf8 Kg7 28 R1f7#

jumperino: team white I'm up for King's gambit too, although if black would cooperate, I'd love to try for Evan's gambit.
