Motto: It is what it is, but nothing is impossible.

Me: Inconsequential dust, interspersed with a few clever thoughts, and occasional insights.

Humanity: Crooked, destructive, or repetitive with a few exceptions.

Chess: Fischer, Alekhine, Capablanca, and so many other beautiful composers.

On my gravestone: What are you looking at.

From Brooklyn, New York, but out of town for years.

doogie: I played Mr. Mednis in a simultaneous exhibition at Stony Brook University, I think it was in 1970, and was very happy to have drawn him in that game. It was an honor to have played him. I was very sad when I heard of his passing back in 2002. RIP, and thank you.
