   Mar-22-12 A Rakhmanov vs Y Ginzburg, 2010 (replies)
Uvulu: Could 26... Bxe5 have saved the day?
Feb-17-12 Ljubojevic vs Karpov, 1975 (replies)
Uvulu: How does 47.axb4 lose?
Jan-20-12 Vidmar vs Euwe, 1929 (replies)
Uvulu: No candy for me this time, I'm afraid... All I could find was 34.Re8+ Bf8 (not 34... Kh7? 35.Qd3+ f5 36.Qxc2) 35.Rxf8+ Kxf8 36.Nf4+ Kg8 37.Rd8+ Kh7 38.Rh8+ Kg6 (38... Kxh8 39.Qf8#) 39.Ne7+ Kg7 40.Rh7+ Kxh7 41.Qd3+ and 42.Qxc2, but I think it fails to 39... Kh5. Let's check --- ...
   Jan-16-12 N Berry vs D Bryson, 1999
Uvulu: Now how about 34... Nh7 35.Ba7 Rxb2 36.Rc1 Rb7?
Jan-11-12 Agrest vs Shulman, 1996 (replies)
Uvulu: White seemed to be pretty well after 10. Nxc7, but later he let black develop active play and build up the pressure until he was completely lost. Where did he go wrong? I think 13.Bd3 may be the key mistake here, because it allows 13... b5, which attacks White's center and opens up ...
   Jan-10-12 M A Schapiro vs Capablanca, 1924 (replies)
Uvulu: Why did Capablanca resign here? I think he could play 27.Qg4+ and 28.Qxc8+. Perhaps he lost on time?
   Jan-07-12 Duras vs H Wolf, 1907 (replies)
Uvulu: <galdur: Much too lazy here, I picked the lame line 38.Rf4 Qe7 39.Qe4 Re6 40.Qxe6 Qxe6 41.Rf8+ Qg8 42.Rxg8+ Kxg8 43.Kg3 and black can resign.> White would play 40.Qa8+ Qe8 41.Rf8+ Qxf8 42.Qxf8#
   Jan-05-12 S M Iglesias vs L Carrera-Casado, 2001 (replies)
Uvulu: Let me try to explain what happened on move 12. There was a shortage of pieces at the tournament, and there were only 7 white pawns for this game. So they replace white's d2 pawn with a glass pawn they grabbed from some artistic set of pieces, but it was, of course, transparent. ...
   Jan-05-12 Filip vs K Darga, 1961 (replies)
Uvulu: <Tigranny: g4+ could've involved a queen exchange> I think Black has 32... Kf5, and then White has to give the exchange back to avoid mate. Still, that would be way better than Qxh7
   Jan-03-12 D Pergericht vs J P Boudre, 1988 (replies)
Uvulu: <King Death> You must mean 13...Bc6 (13...Nxd7 14.fxe4), but I think your point holds true.
