Nothing much to say.... :)
Life is a game. Give it your best shot.
Be the change in the world.
Do something to help others.
Don't hang with the main stream. Be a star. Do something different.
God gave you a life. Make the most out of it.
You were born an original. Don't die a copy. :)
Okay, enought sentiments. My name's Arjun. I'm a resident of Delhi, India. School is Amity Saket (you might notice that Parimarjan Negi also goes to the same school. We are good friends.)
I play on our chess team (second or third board). Our achievements include Zonal and State championships. My friends Rishi (captain of team and rated over 2000), Soumaya, Ajitesh and Jhujhar are also on the team.
I love maths and sciene due to their logical manner. I also like basketball, badminton, running, swimming, etc. I'm currently learning squash and tennis (I've gotten immensely interested in the latter, after watching Wimbledon last year.) Quizzing and debate are other passions of mine. Hope that this list increases (I want to learn music and art as well. Maybe after my board exams.)
I'm a fairly decent player. I'm still not FIDE rated (haven't played enough tournaments regularly), but I guess I would be about 1800 or so. Some days I can play 2000-2100, others 1500 and below. C'est la vie.
I'm currently rereading The Art of Attack in Chess. I'm also working on the Alekhine Defense for black. Will be updated.....
I love this site. Made a number of friends, such as <ahmadov> and <SwitchingQuylthulg>. Others include <technical draw>, <jessicafischerqueen>, <chessmoron>, <ragh>, <brankat>, <wannabe> and quite a few others. I also respect the views of users such as <acirce>.
I hope to one day become a master (I'm working towards that goal).
I've vanished from this site (and from chess) and few times in the recent past. I hope that doesn't happen again (but no promises :))
Take care, mate.
