Swindler: This action could be seen as a slight to FIDE and Kirsan itself, not only the current WC format. Remember that Carlsen supported Karpov in the elections. He's still young so there is no hurry in getting the WC. Fischer did something similar after 1962 and the system became better ...

Swindler: Please put me on the list, thanks.

Swindler: <Chessical>: The following game has almost the same position, though White has retaken on d4 with his c-pawn rather than his e-pawn: Gligoric vs D Blagojevic, 2001 Black seems to get a comfortable game with an extra pawn.

Swindler: Maybe his cellphone rang? ;)

   Jul-22-09 E Agrest vs S Agrest, 2009 (replies)

Swindler: They are husband and wife.

Swindler: Yup, personally I would rather have seen a Fischer-Stein mach than a Fischer-Karpov match in 1975.

Aug-26-06 Topalov vs Kramnik, 2004 (replies)

Swindler: <euripides> Somehow I don't think Hegel had to deal with students clad in FCUK T-shirts :)

Aug-26-06 Kramnik - Topalov World Championship Match (2006) (replies)

Swindler: OK thanks, nice to hear!

Swindler: If I remember correctly, Larsen out started by studying the games from the romantic era, espacially with the Kings Gambit. Guess that's where his style came from.

Swindler: I really have nothing new to add to the discussion, I just wanted to say that we have reached page 666 - "The number of the beast"... ;-)
