   Oct-09-13 Z Doda vs Sliwa, 1963 (replies)
SilverLining: Also, white wins a rook after Qxe6 (move 28. mentioned earlier) Should make the puzzle a little tastier.
   Oct-08-13 K Spraggett vs Yusupov, 1989 (replies)
SilverLining: sfm, 52.Ng5+ It appears you've one-upped both the game line and my own. Move 54.. Black defends his queen 55. White trades R for Q, Black recaptures 56(!) White queen forks black king for Rook on b4
   Aug-16-13 K Georgiev vs N Andrianov, 1991 (replies)
SilverLining: The idea after 17. Nxd6 would be to follow with Qc6+, I believe. al wazir, after ...Rxf8 19. Nxd6(check!), the black king must run to d7 or e7, and both squares are a death sentence for his queen.
   Jul-17-13 Y Ding vs T Lei, 2013 (replies)
SilverLining: As can be seen on move black's 48th move, white is /not/ about to lose a piece (!) if the knight was taken, white would mate by Rxe8 double check! And if the rook was taken- recapture with the bishop -a mate as easy as they come! In fact, white's position here is so strong, it ...
   Jun-30-13 P J Morris vs C Ward, 1983 (replies)
SilverLining: The best I had was 20... Qe5, threatening Rxb3+. I think white's only option is to sac his bishop with Bd4 or Qd4? Seems to be enough..
Jun-13-13 Taimanov vs Hort, 1975 (replies)
SilverLining: I see. So white gets to trade down to a two knights endgame with an extra pawn on either side of the board.. Indeed it's clearly winning. 'Nuf said, I suppose.
   Jun-11-13 G Palmason vs S Basjuni, 1954
SilverLining: Bf8?? Very disappointed in our player of the day, overall. Black needs only walk his king to h6 and white is forced to seek a draw. What is it we're supposed to see from this Palmason?
   Jun-07-13 N Pjatakhina vs A Saakova, 1967 (replies)
SilverLining: Alright, here's what I got after Kg1 22.Kg1 Ng3! A.) 23.Kxg2 Qh3+ 24.Kf3 Nh5+ (semi-transposing) 25.Ke4 Nf6# I'm glad to have found this again, as this was my favorite of the other variations. : ) B.) 23.fxg3 Qxh2+ 24.Kf2 Bxa8+ 25.Kf1 Qg2#
Jun-04-13 N Faulks vs Granda Zuniga, 2010 (replies)
SilverLining: The bishop sacrifice from Faulks.. any chance that was sound? Even positionally? It seems foul to me. If Faulks' queen were on g4 and his h pawn pushed to h3.. what might we see from black? (e.g. 33... black to play?)
   Jun-04-13 D Barua vs M Damit, 1983 (replies)
SilverLining: Nice puzzle sfm : ) ty
