   Feb-01-23 I Hakki vs D Chen, 1978 (replies)

SeanAzarin: A Hacky Sack is a small object you kick or bump up in the air. The idea is to repeatedly bump it up so that it doesn't hit the ground. They had their 15 minutes of fame a few decades back.

SeanAzarin: Bent And Broken

   Nov-01-22 M Romi vs W Winter, 1926 (replies)

SeanAzarin: Winter's Bone

   Oct-02-22 S Knight vs V Georgiev, 2008 (replies)

SeanAzarin: I think that's a new personal record... they used my pun seven years after I submitted it. Nice game by Knight with a lovely epaulette mate.

   Sep-12-22 Hromadka vs K Havasi, 1936 (replies)

SeanAzarin: <An Englishman: Good Evening: The "Wagner-Zwitersch Gambit." Just when I think that I've heard of every possible opening name...> Have you heard of the Double Duck Formation? Or the Mosquito Gambit? Or perhaps the Kangaroo Defense?

   Aug-07-22 E Hintikka vs T Pirttimaki, 1988 (replies)

SeanAzarin: Wow. Black has mates in the final position in three different ways. 31... R x R ch 32 B - Kt 1 R/8 x R mate OR 31... R x R ch 32 B - Kt 1 R/7 x R mate OR 31... R - Kt 2 dis ch and mate. Very impressive attack.

   Jul-24-22 Z Schleining vs N Pogonina, 2014 (replies)

SeanAzarin: I vote to mate with 44 P - Kt 3. I always like a position where a Pawn can deliver checkmate.

   Jul-20-22 R B Estera vs O Chajes, 1913

SeanAzarin: Drawing A Blanco

   Jul-20-22 R B Estera vs Kupchik, 1913

SeanAzarin: Blanco On The Map. (Yes, I have been reading my Eric Shipton books recently, why do you ask? *grin*)

   Jul-13-22 Pelikan vs R A Redolfi, 1957 (replies)

SeanAzarin: Wow. Two pawns up -- connected passed pawns at that, far advanced -- and the exchange of Rooks is forced for all intents and purposes. Black could have resigned several moves earlier.
