   Oct-13-08 Greenfeld vs J Polgar, 1989 (replies)
MikeChesss: If 12...Nf3+ couldn't white just reply with 13 Kf1?
   Aug-31-07 O Sick vs Gorelov, 1989 (replies)
MikeChesss: Most of these puzzles involve sacs. I used to think that they were just exceptional situations that come up rarely, but now that I have been able to use a few of them in my own games I'm beginning to think that what makes a good chess player is being able to see them and ...
   Aug-14-07 Lilienthal vs G Negyesy, 1931 (replies)
MikeChesss: Weak back rank and a passed pawn with a rook in support makes the queen sac relatively easy to spot. Bring on Wednesday!
Aug-13-07 Barnett vs Eastwood, 1949 (replies)
MikeChesss: I saw it. Pin the queen and then fork it after she captures the bishop. I'm glad that I was able to overcome my prejudice to look for a Queen sac.
Aug-10-07 Huzman vs Dreev, 1987 (replies)

MikeChesss: Why did one computer resign? Isn't it programmed to keep on playing? On another topic, has anyone had trouble signing on to the free internet chess server recently? I haven't been able to get on in two days.
Aug-02-07 Dreev vs Dominguez Perez, 2005 (replies)

Jul-23-07 Morphy vs Worrall, 1857 (replies)
MikeChesss: I wish I were smart enough to play like this. Even with study, stuff like this seems to require some inborn talent. And nerve.
   Jul-18-07 J Polgar vs Hellers, 1993 (replies)
MikeChesss: Is there a name for a move where you move a piece to a square where it "can not" be captured because the opponent exposes himself to a tactic like a fork or checkmate? Other than a good move, of course.
   Jul-10-07 G Kroone vs A Strautmanis, 1928 (replies)
MikeChesss: Definitely all over the place. Hard for me to follow or process.
