20-years old who studies mathematics (2nd year) and enjoys playing chess. I wrote about fifty mathematical articles on the Croatian Wikipedia and I edited a dozen of other articles, also wrote some chess articles. I am interested in other areas of human knowledge such as medicine (neuroscience) and history, in particular, the history of mathematics and chess. I also read and write poetry. My favourite music ganres are Schlager, easy listening, klapa and Dalmatian chansons. I live in Rijeka, Croatia.

I’ve learned the rules of the game since I was 5, but I’ve only been playing more seriously since the end of 2018. I don’t have an official rating, but my rating on Chess.com in blitz is somewhere above 2050. I am a member of the Chess club Rijeka and still learning, as one might suspect.

My favourite players are Lasker and Capablanca. In fact, Agadmator’s “Capablanca Saga” gave me a fundamental understanding of the game of chess and it was only then that I began to understand the games of the great players.

Naš je planet radostima ubog nešto.
Treba otimati radost danima što bježe.
Na svijetu umirati nije teško,
Stvarati život daleko je teže.

Mathematicar: When Seirawan plays the Sicilian against you, you know you suck.

   Jun-05-23 Nunn vs Seirawan, 1983

Mathematicar: Seirawan's immortal.

   Jun-04-23 O Bernstein vs Capablanca, 1914

Mathematicar: Bernstein fall for a witty trap and took the pawn; 27. Nxc3 is a blunder.

   Jun-04-23 Janowski vs O Chajes, 1916

Mathematicar: 19. Kh7 is a terrible blunder: lineaning up with a Queen and the Rook (then Bishop becomes a target). 19. Kh8 would save Black or at least White should work very hard for his meal.

   Jun-03-23 N Banks vs Capablanca, 1916

Mathematicar: 16.f4 is indeed a poor move, restricting the scope of the Bishop.

   Jun-02-23 Colle vs Spielmann, 1926

Mathematicar: 13. Bc2 is an obvious blunder.

Jun-02-23 Karpov vs Kasparov, 1990 (replies)

Mathematicar: <DaltriDiluvi> Thanks.

   Jun-02-23 Gufeld vs Kavalek, 1962

Mathematicar: The power of the pawns is not to be underestimated.

   Jun-02-23 Capablanca vs Colle, 1929

Mathematicar: Wonderful game by Capablanca. Very safe and modern approach by great Cuban.

   May-31-23 Capablanca vs C H Alexander, 1936 (replies)

Mathematicar: One of the weirdest Capablanca's games.
