I'm from philippines, southeast asia and currently in Dubai, UAE; 32 yrs. old unrated player. i learned chess at 6yrs. old from uncle. self-study supplemented Pandolfini's ABCs of Chess & Chess Opening Traps and Zaps, Robert Byrne's NY Times Book of Great Chess Victories & Defeats and Fischer games compilation (European publication) lent by uncle. with refreshing insights from here, i hope to improve on my chess and pass it on to my kids.

i'm posting this insightful website: http://jurajlorinc.tripod.com/chess... for reference and to share this site from what i learned in today's GOD theme: Plachutta!

my other interest include mobile phone camera originally from NK6020

LimSJ: i only saw the Bh7 sac-theme but can't go through more than after 17.Ne5. i appreciate the tactics arising from the possibilities of 18...Kh7 and 20...Be1 that are worth looking into from an unrated player's point of view and over the board on my lunch break (as i don't have a chess ...

LimSJ: i see after 27.Bf8+ Kf6 28.Qg7+ Kg5 29.Be7+ Kf4 30.Kf2 seals the deal. I wonder who and where Krasenkov is. (not that Polish GM M. Krasenkow?) i saw from among the kibitzed games today that an opening is named after this player in Morozevich vs I Papaioannou, 2010 English Opening: ...

LimSJ: the last move was right on time for the Queen to show her (ability to use) fork!

LimSJ: wow i like the way the game ended over the C-file. the potential pawn-grab trap on 26. Qf3 was amusing too. (i wonder though how the game would have continued after an exchange of Queens.)

LimSJ: <OrangeBishop> also aside from maybe time factor, Black sees white gaining a tempo after it deals with the Knight threat on its Bihsop at b7, white then gets 3plus: another pawn, a gain in tempo against Knight on f6 and advanced passed pawn all in one move 25.fxe5.

LimSJ: could white's 26. Nd6 count as a Plachutta theme? that was very simple-looking blocking move by the Knight but it points to an impending one-,two-move mate threats.
