I born in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil,
28-February-1943. I live in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. I do not have "rating", but I think more or less 2000. My favorite player is Capablanca, but I have great admirations also by Nimzowitsch, Karpov, Tal and Petrosian. In 2004 I published my book "Maiorias Qualitativas nas Defesas Índias' (Qualitative Majorities in the Indian Defenses), 300 pages, ISBN 8534802378. In 2012 Mongoose Press published with the title "Winning Pawn Play in the Indian Defenses", ISBN 978-1-936277-34-6, 313 pages. The English translation, done about the Second Edition in Portuguese, also still not published, it contains the Appendix, Qualitative Majorities in Ruy Lopez. And in December 2014 it is the Moscow Andrei Elkov Publishing House which translates, from the English edition, as Как Выиграть Пешками в Индийских Защитах, ISBN 978-5-906254-15-3.

   Feb-11-19 V Fedoseev vs Giri, 2019 (replies)

Jaburu: 32.Nxd5? is mistake, correct is 32.Raxd3 with probable draw.

Jaburu: Thank you, "wordfunph" for mentioning my book!

Jan-23-19 Carlsen vs Anand, 2019 (replies)

Jaburu: I think that 52...Re4 maintaining the rook, is draw.

Jan-17-19 Shankland vs Ding Liren, 2019 (replies)

Jaburu: What seems easy is that the great players operate with coordinated pieces, soon everything goes right, without effort. The secret is the coordination of the pieces as seen in these games and the driving by GM Liren. In the Game of Go, the situation of the white pieces at the end form

Nov-30-18 Caruana vs Carlsen, 2018 (replies)

Jaburu: My idea after the Carlsen-Caruana match is the World Cup should be a mix of rapid and classic games. Rapid, 1 and 2 games; classic, 3 and 4 games; rapid, 5 and 6 games; classic, 7 and 8 games; rapid, 9 and 10 games and classic, 11 and 12 games. Win 1 point, draw 1/2 point and defeat ...

Nov-12-18 Caruana vs Carlsen, 2018 (replies)

Jaburu: In the Game Caruana vs Mamedyarov, 2018, I kibitz this: "M. Tal's dynamic chess involves the risk of defeat. M. Carlsen's plus-equal chess involves the risk of draw. F. Caruana's chess is also in plus-equal style. In the match for the World Championship, Carlsen vs Caruana, by the ...

Jaburu: M. Tal's dynamic chess involves the risk of defeat. M. Carlsen's plus-equal chess involves the risk of draw. F. Caruana's chess is also in plus-equal style. In the match for the World Championship, Carlsen vs Caruana, by the logic, we will have many draws! So the "secret studies" of ...

   Oct-01-18 A Fier vs R Aloma Vidal, 2018 (replies)

Jaburu: The applied checkmate for Fier is very rare, but it happens. If there is some collector of that checkmate type I offer my game Vitório Chemin vs Henrique Marinho, Zonal South Paranaense, Curitiba BRA 1969: 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Be2 e5 7.Nb3 Be6 8.Bg5 Be7 ...

Aug-30-18 Carlsen vs Nakamura, 2018 (replies)

Jaburu: The position after 86.Rb6 is almost identical to the position of the game Grajewski - Vachier-Lagrave, Reykjavic ISL 2013 after 62...Kf7

Aug-29-18 Carlsen vs Karjakin, 2018 (replies)

Jaburu: This is the very "plus-equal" strategy.
