I'm not sure what to say. My name is Peter. I'm 33 years old & live in North York, Ontario, Canada. I don't have a rating. I can't afford to join a club and I'm not internet savvy enough to figure out my way on chess playing sites. So I haven't been able to play & get a rating there either. Right now, I can't be satisfied with just 1 player as my top favourite, so there's a tie between Alekhine, Morphy, Charousek & Dr. Hartlaub.

Cogano: LOL <Emperor> Kinda reminds you of, not to sound arrogant or anything, "I came. I saw. I conquered." doesn't it! ;) See you around mate. :)

Cogano: Hello again <Ron> my friend & I hope all is well & that you had a FANTASTIC Easter weekend. :) Well, it's been a while since we last exchanged words. I sure hope all is well for you, health-wise, home-wise, work-wise, & otherwise. :) Also, I wanted to bid you a ...

Cogano: Hello <Saruman> my friend & I sincerely hope this finds you well & that you had a FANTASTIC Easter weekend (assuming you celebrate it!) (though I hope you had a FANTASTIC weekend period!) :) Thank you most kindly for having taken the time to explain things to me. :) ...

Cogano: Hello again <refutor> & I hope all is well & that you had a FANTASTIC Easter weekend. :) I'm truly sorry to bother you again. :( But I had to send you a message on queenalice, as I couldn't bring myself to reveal the information contained therein here. It's too private ...

Cogano: I was right! :) <Richard> did prove to be a surer & more reliable bet for you than "rated players", who seem to exist on this site more in the form of a memory than an actual presence anyway! Enjoy your weekend! :)

Cogano: Hello <letekro> & <Saruman> & I hope all is well. :) Thanks much for taking the time to explain that. :) I now feel stupid for having put up the question in the first place, considering that it was pretty late when I looked at the position & I was really ...

Cogano: Thanks much <themadhair> & <blingice>. Like I said, I'm quite ignorant & insufficiently experienced. & I'm chronically sleep-deprived. That's as expressive as I can be in my efforts to evoke to you the cloud(s) that shroud(s) my mind. ;) (Think 'Jupiter's Big ...

Cogano: Hello again <ongyj> & I sincerely hopes this finds you well. :) No problem. Glad to be of help. I too would love to have the kind of opening "how-to" guide. But I prefer to start with some training first (good books & X # of games). Also, I'd then have to get premium ...
