   Oct-02-14 Kasparov vs A Sendur, 1976 (replies)

Bezlitosci: 8...Ng4 is actually good. After 8...Ne8 9. e6 is crushing, [DIAGRAM] e.g. 9...fxe6 10. Ng5 and knight from d7 can't move, since queen is undefended. Black was holding until [DIAGRAM] 20...Rxd1 (20...Re8 instead).

   Oct-02-14 Alexander Grischuk (replies)

Bezlitosci: Why is Grischuk playing so rarely? He's in top 5 and yet you can seldom see him in an elite torunament, contrary to e.g. Nakamura.

   Oct-02-14 Wesley So (replies)

Bezlitosci: <Pulo y Gata: Dazzling logic. In the same vein, we can't really say Carlsen is world's best, numero uno, and real champ now because of some factors.> I'm only saying that they have similar ranking, and the difference of 13 points is irrelevant, at least until it's not ...

   Sep-28-14 V Gashimov vs Gelfand, 2009 (replies)

Bezlitosci: Here is a great video about this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Hz... Bonus: lovely commentators.

Sep-22-14 Capablanca vs Alekhine, 1927 (replies)

Bezlitosci: Here are my analyses of the game. 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Bb4 4.exd5 exd5 5.Bd3 Nc6 6.Ne2 Nge7 7.O-O Bf5 8.Bxf5 Nxf5 9.Qd3 Qd7 10.Nd1 O-O 11.Ne3 Nxe3 12.Bxe3 Rfe8 13.Nf4 Bd6 14.Rfe1 Nb4 [DIAGRAM] 15.Qb3 First inaccuracy, as the game progress shows. Better was 15.Qd2. Note that

   Sep-19-14 Reshevsky vs A Vasconcellos, 1944 (replies)

Bezlitosci: I analysed the game with computer and in his opinion the sacrifice is unsound. The key moment is on 16th move [DIAGRAM] black in this position plays 16...Nb4 and is lost. Not only this move serves no defensive puposes at the moment, but it actually helps white be removing the ...

   Sep-07-14 Stockfish (Computer) (replies)

Bezlitosci: Stockfish's games are strange to me. If I had to compare it to a player it reminds me most of Lasker. Some other great players, like Alechine or Capablanca had their own specific style, Lasker's games are bit strange to follow. As regards computers - for example watching Rybka's ...

   Sep-03-14 Sinquefield Cup (2014) (replies)

Bezlitosci: Pity match for world's crown won't be between Carlsen and Caruana. Wouldn't be obvious whom to bet on.

   Aug-20-14 Kasparov vs O Tsekouras, 2001 (replies)

Bezlitosci: I see nobody but experts here. All claiming how stupid 17...g5 was, and how weak black had to be to play this move. But do you realize that the position was already lost after white's 17th move? Rybka gives 17...g5 more or less the same evalutation as it gives the best ...

   Aug-15-14 L Karapetyan vs M Antipov, 2014 (replies)

Bezlitosci: Great game! Antipov massacred his rival!
