Oct-30-09 European Team Championship (2009)
ARTIN: Sargissian won, it's a transmission error. What a blunder by Stellwagen, 70...Rb4 was a simple draw.
So looks like 1. Azerbaijan 2. Russia 3. Armenia unless I'm messing up tiebreaks |

Oct-12-07 Levon Aronian
ARTIN: Oh, here we go again. Armenian holocaust in chessgames.com again. I wouldn't comment about this on a chess site but I can't not answer when I see so many wrong things being said. I just don't understand that there are still people with access to internet and libraries who think that ... |

Feb-22-07 Aronian vs Anand, 2007
ARTIN: 45...Ke7 46. Ra7+ Kf8 47.f3!?
Now, 47...Nc3 loses the knigth to 48. Ra5! followed by 49.Kd2 47...f5 48.Ra5 e4 49.Rxf5 exf3 50. Rxf3 traps the knight. The threat is 48. Ra5 followed by Kd1 trapping the knight. I don't there is defence against it. |

ARTIN: So much for Kasparov preventing my career crap. |
Feb-07-07 Spassky vs Petrosian, 1966
ARTIN: Petrosian mentions that if Black had already castled Kingside, Bf4 would have been a good move. And this is what Spassky expected I guess. But Petrosian castled queenside. |

Feb-07-07 Tigran V Petrosian
ARTIN: And then some thoughts by Petrosian himself:
"Every chessplayer while competing with his opponent also competes with himself. Every battle is also an inner struggle." "Maybe I like defending more than attacking. But who has proven that defending is less dangerous than attacking" "Not |
