MissScarlett: I noticed that he's currently world rated 16 in blitz, although he's only an IM. His playing record shows infrequent bursts of activity: http://ratings.fide.com/id.phtml?ev...

I suspect he's studying at university.

MissScarlett: He's currently playing the super-strong Ukrainian championship: he lost in the opening rounds to Kuzubov and Areschenko, but struck back with a win over Korobov and a draw today with Kryvoruchko. I'll keep an eye on this kid. He could be a late bloomer.

Penguincw: Congrats to Bogdanovich for winning the Geller Memorial (blitz) with a perfect 10/10!

Doesn't look to be a notable tournament, as it looked to be all Ukrainian, and the average blitz rating of Bogdanovich's opponents were 2428, but a perfect score isn't all that common.

He gained 32 rating points in this tournament (2754 -> 2786) and has risen from 20th to 13th.

Oct-10-15  Mr. V: How does a person become such an amazing blitz and rapid player far beyond their own classical rating?

Penguincw: Bogdanovich scored 7/9 at Aeroflot 2020 B group but lost out on tiebreaks in a 3 way tie for first.

Looks like he'll play at a blitz tournament in Aeroflot as well.

Mar-05-20  VonBlade: Such a waste of talent. Don't do drugs, kids.
Mar-05-20  offramp: That's right. He is as dead as a doornail.

Him and Alexandra Vernigora (rated 1861). They died inhaling nitrous oxide, so hopefully they died happy.

MissScarlett: <On Facebook, Wang Hao reacted to the tragedy (Chess-News translation from English):

“I can’t believe that I won’t see this beautiful young couple anymore. Bogdanovich was very talented in chess and languages. We played a long and heavy game, and he spoke excellent Chinese as if it were his native language.”> Google translation from http://chess-news.ru/node/26837

Can someone confirm the date of death as March 5th?

Mar-06-20  Straclonoor: <Can someone confirm the date of death as March 5th?> Yes. I can do it.
I confirm that, according to official representative of Investigative Committee Moscow Julia Ivanova, Bogdanovich and Vernigora uncovered dead in Kastanaevskaya street in Moscow March 5.
