RECENT GAMES:
Benjamin Hoareau is the son of Rachelle Hoareau. He won the Seychelles chess championships in 2006 and 2007. The game K Meier vs A Niyibizi, 2014 at the Tromso Olympiad (2014) match between Rwanda and Seychelles had an unusual ending for both teams. Benjamin Hoareau's opponent (see B Hoareau vs A Ruzigura, 2014 for details) might have been in contention for a Candidate Master title as a result of the team standings in the round, but team captain Maxence Murara of Rwanda "chose to sacrifice two games as loses sic in a gesture of goodwill to Seychelles, a decision which did not go down well with his teammates (1)." Links to G Kabera vs P Meier, 2014 (first board; see first link above for the second board) and M Murara vs Ragul Pillay, 2014 (third board) were the other games of that final round.
