Postny's =5th (15th in the tiebreak) in the 12th European Individual Championship (2011) qualified him to play in the World Cup (2011), where he lost a hard fought first round in the blitz tiebreaker to Danish GM Peter Heine Nielsen, after drawing the classical games, and the two sets of rapid game tiebreakers. Two years later, his strong result (7.5/11) in the European Individual Championships (2013) qualified him to play in the World Cup (2013), where he lost to Chinese GM Li Chao in the first round, and was therefore eliminated from the Cup. =1st (2nd on tiebreak to Hannes Stefansson) at the Teplice Open 2015. 2nd at Leiden 2015.
