Nov-24-04  percyblakeney: Concerning the question who to choose to play the devil with your soul at stake, someone apparently chose Keres and Petrosian.

cu8sfan: It turned out to be a good choice thanks to Keres.

There was a baseball player called Tim Teufel who played at the same time as another ballplayer called Jim Gott. I wonder if they ever faced each other: Gott vs. Teufel... (-:

Phony Benoni: I'm not surprised that Teufel's home run against Gott was hit at the Metrodome. Home field advantage.

FSR: I didn't know what you guys were talking about, but I see from Google Translate that "Teufel" is German for "devil." Seems like an unfortunate surname.
Jan-30-13  thomastonk: <FSR> Here you see that "Teufel" is a very common name in Germany: http://www.verwandt.de/karten/relat.... In the red areas more than 1 of 1000 people has this name. People with surname "Gott", which means God, are comparatively seldom: http://www.verwandt.de/karten/relat...
