Mar-31-22  Z truth 000000001: Up to today <CG> had his name as <Ivkov>.

His biography above should give the Bulgarian forum of his name:

<Венцислав Инкьов>

Google translate gives this as <Ventsislav Inkyov>.

So, should his name be Inkyov or Inkiov?

Well, I don't know what the contemporaneous English chess literature used from when he was active, but wiki uses <Ivkov> (see bio), as does Olimpbase:

http://www.olimpbase.org/players/ec...

But, he still has an active FIDE card, which uses <Ivkiov>, which seals the deal.

Stonehenge: <Up to today <CG> had his name as <Ivkov>.> Huh?

<but wiki uses <Ivkov> (see bio), as does Olimpbase:> Huh?

<FIDE card, which uses <Ivkiov>> Huh?

Mar-31-22  Z truth 000000001: Oh, shoot, my bad. For <Ivkov> read <Inkov>.

Force of habit typing mistake.

But the point - did you change his name?

Perhaps you could note it in the kibitzing, and avoid my silly typing mistakes in the first place?

Stonehenge: I changed one game, that's all.

Inkiov vs S Tatai, 1982

Mar-31-22  Z truth 000000001: Oh sorry - I see why I was auto-typing Ivkov now.

I misinterpreted the "no more" comment.

Wish my comment above could be deleted then, with the exception of the Bulgarian form of his name, and the small side note about the transliteration.

(Of course the Olimpbase link is still good too, hmmm, maybe worth saving after all)

Not a huh, but a WRONG (on my part - apologies all)
