Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-20-05  THE pawn: He has played against Odd Lie, so that makes him a really great player, doesn't it?
Oct-20-05  Anatooly Homedepotov: Yes, and I heard Bobby Fischer's simul opponents are all still claiming to be the world champion simul opponents! They refused to play Karpov's simul opponents and so forfeited their joint title. Damn, here I am telling an Odd Lie on the Jens Kristiansen page!
Oct-20-05  THE pawn: Shame on you.

  Troller: Til lykke Jens!

Maybe some people smiled a little when you wrote a couple of years ago that you still aimed for the GM title, perhaps setting a record for being the oldest newly appointed GM. But here you are, GM Kristiansen :)

Nov-24-12  SimonWebbsTiger: A report from the DSU website, with a picture of "Skakmesteren" Jens.

Jens went 9/11 (unbeaten) and met GMs Cebalo, Jansa, Vaisser, Sveshnikov, Balashov and Okhotnik on the way.

Nov-25-12  martin moller: Sådan Mester Jens - Tillykke.
Nov-25-12  SimonWebbsTiger: More photos of Denmark's third World Champion, this time upon his arrival at Kastrup Airport in Denmark today, where he was met by (amongst others) TV and the Chairman of the Danish Federation.

http://dsu.dk/index.php?id=4&NewsId...

The other Danish World Champions are Jorn Sloth (Correspondence) and Curt Hansen (U-20). The latter won the 1984 Junior event ahead of Dreev, whilst in 10-15 place was a chap called Anand!

Jul-30-13  SimonWebbsTiger: The Senior World Champion drew with Jan Timman in yesterday's round of Politiken Cup. That evening he played a simul, with the score of 18.5-5.5. A Photo report, in Danish, via the link.
