Oct-26-20  Alan McGowan: This is likely the same Neil Bernstein (1916-1967) who - briefly - was a student in Scotland, during which time he played in the Scottish championships of 1938 and 1939 (the latter won by fellow American student <Max Pavey>. Further information at
