HeMateMe: Is she indigenous or japanese? She doesn't look Brazilian.
Nov-04-09  braimondi: She's japanese granddaughter, by the way is impossible to say if a people are a brazilian or not because we are the most mixed nation in the world...

HeMateMe: I can understand that. I was just wondering if the player was decended from indians, people living in that area before the Portugese came and declared Brazil a coloney (and before the Spanish and Japanese came to other parts of South America). I think she would be darker skinned if her ancestors were native people, like the aborigines in Australia.

Looks like she will be representing Brazil in the olympiad:, congratulations!
