Grandmaster. He was Turkish Champion in 2009 and 2017. He earned his I.M. title in 2009 and his G.M. title in 2012. He is from Ankara, the Turkish capital. He became the youngest Turkish champion in 2009 after defeating Baris Esen in the final round with a total score of 11 1/2 of 13.

  Penguincw: Congrats to Mustafa Yilmaz for his performance at the Iasi Open. Entering as the 14th seed at 2570, he finished in 2nd after tiebreaks with 7/9 (+5,-0,=4). He was also very clutch, as he went 4/4 when having white.

Rating wise, he gains 14.7 rating points to move to 2585, which looks to be a career high.
