GrahamClayton: Son of Mme Angles d'Auriac, who won the 1937 French Womens Championship in extraordinary circumstances. The tournament was held outside of Paris for the first time, in Toulouse. 1936 champion de Silans was the only Paris-based player who had entered, so two local players (Cazenave and Zimmerman) entered. de Silans then withdrew, so she was replaced by Angles d'Auriac, also from Toulouse. Angles d'Auriac won the quadruple round robin tournament with 5.5/8, and never competed in another French championship tournament.
