  moronovich: A classic : Rh8,Rh2-h8,Qh3+ mating on h8.

  moronovich: Sorry, after 2xRh8, Queen goes off course h3+ plus Qxe6 +.

  perfidious: <moronovich>, forcing the self-block at the finish after ....Kh8 is an uncommon, but nice touch.

  moronovich: It is, indeed.With the "normal" black rook on f8, things would have been more, bussines as usual.

  fredthebear: normal <bussines as usual>.

These are your pals, perd. Inform your puppet who claims to have invented a handful of checkmates (reminders, you ask?

* chessgames.com chessforum (kibitz #39471),

* Chigorin vs Bird, 1889 (kibitz #20),

* US Open (2021) (kibitz #7),

* A F Wurm vs I Orchard, 1887 (kibitz #3), There's no such mate says Z.

* Bang (kibitz #400),

etc. etc.

that White missed <DAMIANO's Mate> on the h-file. Never mind that Pedro Damiano published the pattern in 1512. After all these years, zee still does not know the checkmate patterns despite all the research and false claims of self-invention.

Jan-13-23  stone free or die: At it again <Fred>. You're out of your league and misrepresenting again.

And troll-stalking on the railroad of life, I might add.

But thanks for all those links.

Jan-13-23  stone free or die: Fred, you're right about me getting the name Balestra from a book on fencing.

I actually was disappointed that I couldn't find more good mating names from fencing terminology, to tell Z-truth!

(But <Balestra> is a pretty good name, so I should be happy)

Jan-13-23  stone free or die: <Fred>, the expert on <Winning Friends and Influencing People> ... NOT!!

More purt than pert.

Jan-13-23  stone free or die: OK, now Fred is flooding the forum.

Which is a shame, as he's here bug-lighting in a game forum that was empty just yesterday, and had a good thread going for an interesting mate missed during the game.

What's this BS about White missing <Damiano's Mate>?

That was the final position only. Many a slip 'twixt cup and lip - it could have been many missed moves before the final mate.

As I said, Fred - you're out of your league.

Please don't flood the forum. That's really childish behavior.

If you're on tilt, just take a break. You're wasting your time posting crap that will soon be deleted.
