An Englishman: Good Evening: Feeling unusually dim even by my standards--why not 11.Bxd8,Bxf2+; 12.Qxf2,Nxf2; 13.Kxf2,Kxd8; 14.Bxe6,fxe6? Doesn't that win a piece more easily?
Jun-16-20  jith1207: <An Englishman>: I think, it's about keeping the White King in a better position, Kd2 rather than Kf2.

Not much difference at first glance, but White doesn't have to lose tempo to move the King around later while spending only one move on King as the text line suggested. That would have been the case if Black had played 11..fxe6 too:

11...fxe6 12. Bxd8 Bxf2+ 13. Kd2 Bxh4 14. Bxh4 h5 15. h3 Nh6 16. Bf6
