  gawain: It's a darned shame that Nellie Love Marshall Showalter is not related to Frank J Marshall. Jackson Showalter marrying Frank Marshall's sister would have been some compensation for all of Mr. Showalter's losses to Marshall over the chessboard--including the US Championship match of 1909 in which Marshall seized the US title from Jackson Showalter.
