An Englishman: Good Evening: Carlsen even sacrifices a pawn here and still can't win. This tournament might suffer from a death by draws.
Aug-20-19  sudoplatov: The machecides have met and the result is the expected draw.
Aug-20-19  Imran Iskandar: Shame that Carlsen opted for 16. Ne4. d5 would have led to much more interesting play IMO instead of the liquidation followed.
Aug-20-19  Imran Iskandar: Not to mention, this is the 17th draw in a row between these two. Is that a record?
Aug-20-19  beenthere240: I'm nostalgic for the short-time Armageddon format. Or maybe chess boxing.
Aug-21-19  RookFile: Karpov - Kasparov had a long series of draws too.
Sep-27-21  Messiah: According to the chesstempo database this is the highest average rating classical game ever played, with an unbelievable 2850 (avg-)points.
