Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-04-19  Sally Simpson: ***

John Saunders in the latest CHESS (September 2019) draws attention to this last round game as being typical end of tournament play 'wildly entertaining' due to the mutual errors.

It is something else kibitzers should consider when looking at what their computers coldly print out. Last round nothing to play for games. It can be: 'let's have some fun', both are knackered and miss things or either player can have an eye on the train home timetable.

Their appears to be a few interesting good looking moves ignored by both players but here. (White to play)

You would have bet you last tooth White would give the Bb4 check.

Some nice tricks a the end with Rook and Bishop mating patterns popping up.
